At this point in time, it appears that online libraries, LO repositories, LO referatories (searchable collections of metadata records of LO’s), are slowly moving towards interactive educational Wikis allowing people to add, modify and delete learning objects which in certain ways responds to the Open Resource Initiative. As latest news on the wiki side, many are looking into providing a wiki page with metadata that can be transferable and interoperable with repositories and libraries.

Our vision is to expand dissemination and reuse of high quality learning objects in a worldwide knowledge economy by offering a flexible, efficient and effective set of quality assurance processes and tools in collaboration of a Global Network of Repositories.
